Maine Cities May Be Seeing Marijuana Social Clubs in near Future

Not all cities in Maine are keen on the idea of marijuana social clubs. There are a few, however, that are taking a much closer look at the idea.

Marijuana social clubs don’t exist anywhere in the U.S. yet, WLBZ 2 News reports. Not having an example to go by makes it a little difficult for towns to determine regulations. No one knows what to expect or what kind of impact it might have on the cities considering them.

South Portland Councilors determined that it won’t be the first city to give marijuana social clubs a try. Auburn, however, is not going to close the door on a revenue making opportunity just yet.
